T’Essence/Terry Stonom Dance Academy . . . .
Established in 2003 here in the Broward County area, for the purpose of expanding the dancer’s knowledge of the Art form of Dance. T'essence is comprised of hard-working, dedicated student dancers, ranging between the ages of 3 years old to adults.

Our students have performed throughout the tri-county area (Broward, Dade and The Palm Beaches), Miami and as far north as Orlando.

We have performed for organizations such as, Mount Bethel Baptist Church, Minority Development Corporation, Nova Southeastern University, Broward County Cultural Division, Mount Olive Baptist Church’s “The Black Noel,”, Blanche Ely High School, Martin Luther King Day Celebrations, Sistrunk Parades to name a few.

Our students are exposed to and have performed a variety of dance genres, such as, liturgical and/or praise dances, modern, ballet, Caribbean Dances, jazz and African dances.

Our school’s atmosphere was created to help in the promotion of personal growth and development and to provide the students with a positive, meaningful experience. Presently, classes are held at Lauderhill’s Veterans Park, 7600, Northwest 50th Street, Lauderhill.

Classes are offered in Liturgical, jazz,
modern, and a range of African dance
